Salmantika svartiskóli is a system of teaching the “fornan fróðleik” or the ‘ancient arts’, which is referred to within European witchcraft as the Arts of Occult Knowledge. This means that our school is not dedicated solely and exclusively to the study or development of martial currents, saturnine, destructive processes or baleful magic, but explores in essence, all the hidden wisdoms of magic that in other schools could be considered taboo, this is the true meaning of a school of Black Arts, a place where the forbidden wisdom is found, the first motto of the school is:
Omnium occultas scientiarum princeps Salmantika docet
Principles of all occult sciences are taught in Salmantika
Our teaching system is divided into nine main levels which in turn are divided into three triads. Each triad is composed of three levels outlining the main system of the Salmantika syllabus. The study period of each level consists of one month of development, where each student will receive direct classes once a week, that is, each level will be studied for a month with 4 classes attended learning the information concerned apart from additional time to resolve doubts and questions.
After completing three levels or a triad, there will be a month of exams to evaluate what has been learned. This implies that the learning process at Salmantika consists of a full year, 9 months of classes and 3 months of exams. The system presented may be rigorous or intensive for some students, this is why we expect to receive students with greater willpower, drive and engery, since the learning process demands great determination, the second motto of the school is:
Quod natura non dat, Salmantika non præstat
What nature does not give, Salmantika does not bestow.
This means that our school cannot give to anyone what nature has denied him or her, and therefore the advancement of each student depends solely and exclusively on his or her natural talent and abilities, which will be exploited to the maximum within the school.
The following is a simple and general outline explaining the Salmantika syllabus:
Sacram Pragmaticam
The student learns the main foundations of what is defined within Icelandic sources as “ókunnuga fræði“, ‘the unknown science’, i.e. Magic. At this level the main definitions, applications and purposes of the spiritual path are internalized. The processes of setur or meditation and visualization within boreal magic are explained according to the legends of the ancient Icelandic magicians.
Ars Præsidium
Once the basics of magic have been defined, then the student learns to safeguard his own existence and that of those around him, at this level he internalizes the methods of counter-magic, banishment, exorcism, protection, revocation and invisibility. All ceremonies, practices and dedicated rituals that fulfill an apotropaic function.
Ars Sylvam
Knowing how to safeguard his existence, the student now learns how to define and project his will into reality through the aspects of nature, such as the mineral, plant and symbolic realm. Here takes place the use of the Ýmis tannar, the teeth of Ýmir, crystals and stones, occult botany and the þursalyf, the Þursian herbal art, as well as the magical Wittenberg script, the trollrúnar or magical runes, and the svartrúnar black runes.
Ars Divinatorum
The student learns different types of mancia or oracular methods, as well as how to properly interpret the hidden language in nature and by which he can read the “örlögþættir“, the ‘threads of destiny and understand the “fugls rödd” or the ‘language of birds’. It delves into the techniques of scrying, oracles and reading the patterns of the örlög ok wyrd.
Ars Somniabunt
The student is immersed in the world of Nótt, the giantess of the night, who is also called draum Njörun, the goddess of dreams. Here he learns the methods of dream vision, oniromancy, lucid dreaming, daydreaming, shape-shifting, lycanthropy, astral travel, the Witches’ Sabbath and the tröllaþingor Troll Assembly.
Ars Sanitatem
At this level he learns to restore his existence and those around him. In instructed in the practices of diagnosis of diseases of supernatural origin and their corresponding methods of energy healing, aura healing, revitalization, recovery of megin (spiritual or magical power), healing by transference and cutting of negative currents, in addition to other advanced techniques.
Ars Næniam
At this point the student has understood the animistic vision of the north and south, therefore, he learns to relate in a balanced way with the forces of nature and the deities of his personal path. He then internalizes the methods of offering, invocation, evocation and transvocation of spirits, entities, deities, giants and trolls.
Ars Pugnæ
Only after having learned the basics of magic and balance of forces within nature, the student receives the knowledge about offensive magic, in this way he can fight for that which is sacred to himself, here he internalizes the methods of “venomatory magic” or spirit hunting, as well as baleful magic, war magic, magical and astral combat.
Ars Moriendi
In the last level the apprentice explores the mysteries of transit and the crossroads beyond Helgarðr or the hedge of death. For this he internalizes the methods of transcarnation, the process of personal liberation, the liberation of other beings and advanced necromancy or Helrúnar.
Upon successful completion of the nine levels, each graduate will receive his or her diploma, signed and sealed by the school’s directors, which certifies his or her passage through the school. Finally, when he has completed the three triads or the nine levels, the student can acquire the school medallion and the secret book of Salmantika Svartkonstböck, or the book of black arts of Salmantika, which is not for sale to the public and is only available to graduates, in this book are the main secret formulas of the school.
The teaching process of our school is currently carried out through virtual classes, now that the pandemic has been overcome, we have had the opportunity to meet face to face with our students to carry out the transmission of empowerments and rituals of passage in different territories. In our school these processes of spiritual strengthening do not have any cost, however, they are only reserved for those who have concluded their learning process satisfactorily.
Each of our mentors has a particular knowledge and mastery of the Regal Art and has a personalized library related to the grimories(European magic grammars), svartkonstböker (Scandinavian black art books) and the galdrabœkr (Icelandic magic books), which will be shared experimentally with our students.
Although Salmantika has a specific syllabus, and all students receive the same instruction, it is important to clarify that the learning process with each mentor may vary, since each mentor has its own pedagogy and unique and independent teaching methods, which is why the admission process in each of our faculties is different, adapting to each territory in its own possibilities and forms of development, Salmantika has two faculties in Latin America:
Salmantika Argentina is directed by Kaldraugur, while Salmantika Colombia-Ecuador is directed by Ljóssál Lóðursson.
Finally, it is important to clarify that, although the main faculties of our school are located in Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador, our doors are open to all Latin America or any person who is fluent in Spanish, so our teachings extend throughout all territories.
